The organisers behind AidEx, an event for the humanitarian aid community, are calling on individuals to nominate their Humanitarian Hero of the Year.  

People who have shown tireless commitment to their role in the humanitarian aid sector or have made a significant impact to those living in developing countries are ideal candidates for the award. Nominations so far include key figures from Oxfam and ShelterBox.

Nominations are open to individuals from any area of the humanitarian aid community including those who work for suppliers, NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental agencies.

To nominate a colleague, former co-worker, contemporary or indeed yourself, email aidex@stormcom.co.uk before 12 August with no more than 200 words why you think that person deserves to win. For more information on the award, go to
