I wrote this open letter to my state's US Senators during the Egyptian Revolution, and published it in a local periodical. In case you are interested in one American's plea to his elected officials (an American who used to live next to Tahrir Square a few years back).

I am trying to set up this project globally... connecting people from around the world at their dinner tables using Skype.
The idea is to combine technology and food to use the power of the oldest social forum there is... the dinner table as a forum for intercultural dialogue, grassroots diplomacy, and social entrepreneurship.
If you have an interest in participating, or know of people or grassroots orgs that might, please be in touch!

Hi, my blog www.jimkillon.wordpress.com is in addition to the blog on our website www.changesfornewhope.org. Both share ideas about life experiences and observations and the NGO blog at Changes for New Hope specifically focuses on the work we are doing with children in extreme poverty in the Peruvian Andes. Just trying to change the part of the world that I can touch. By joining hands with some incredible people, such as what we find here, it is just a matter of time before phenomenal and significant changes take place that affect millions. Peace. Siempre, Jim
