Mis-use, Re-use (Poem)

Posted on September 11, 2011 at 4:55pm 0 Comments

Pennies turn to pounds

but those pounds are being mis-used

over spending, over eating

obesity rates shown on the news...

Along side the rates of those people dying of poverty

as we sit here aboard and still misuse our money

we need to separate our 'needs' from 'wants and clear our minds

take shelter and clean water as valuable parts of our lives...

There are too many problems in our world

but lets just start with a…

'Hey you over there' (Poem)

Posted on September 11, 2011 at 4:30pm 1 Comment

Hey you over there,

YOU Inspire me

as those wise words trickle from your mouth...

as you captivate the audience with facts they may not know...

as you gracefully walk to aid those in need...

Hey you over there,

YOU motivate me

to work harder & achieve more

to over come my fears & push forward my ideas

to make the impossible, possible

Hey you…

Born Poor - (poetry)

Posted on September 7, 2011 at 6:58am 0 Comments

Opening eyes to a world of poverty

no siblings to speak of

because death struck so aggressively

Mummies so skinny

Daddies too stressed

My life has just begun

and my body is still not dressed.

Couple years went by

mummy hasn’t gained no weight

just living everyday

awaiting her fate

Daddy left us a while ago

stress must have taken over his head.

Now I’m the man in charge

have to keep…
