Hey wonderful people!
One of my friends is doing a project called "Lessons for Life". She asks you to list "Three things I wish I would have known when I was younger" and to share it. She has done this with people of all ages, and I think it's a really neat project. She's still deciding what the final product will be, but I'm intrigued by other people's thoughts.
I'll start off with mine, but please please feel free to share yours!
1. We will never run out of love.
2. The way you greet people matters; people are wonderful.
3. Your mind will change. That's okay.
Contribute if you'd like--my guess is that there are some pretty incredible "Lessons for Life" floating around this community!
Stay beautiful,
Megan
Comment by Elliott Verreault on March 16, 2011 at 11:16am Love it! Here's my take on it.
1. It's ok for you to be irrational. Nobody ever changed anything by staying "rational."
2. Value ideals more than anything as they bring meaning. Life is nothing without meaning.
3. Don't plan too much. Be where you are in space & time. Live today as best as you can and tomorrow will follow.
1. Don't be too serious about life. Enjoy your time.
2. Love and relationships are more important than anything else. Love people around you. Don't turn your back on them.
3. You can't change things from the past and that you should just look forward and focus on your future.
Comment by Tim Blattmann on March 16, 2011 at 4:00pm 1. All we need is Love.
2. It's so much better together.
3. Life is way too serious to be lived with seriousness, you better laugh at it. :)
Comment by Elizabeth Sinta Hapsari on March 17, 2011 at 12:17am Hi, Megan. About “Lesson for life”, for me all we doing as experience is lesson, and experience is the best teacher. Lesson I get for my experience is:
Somehow, we got a lesson by our mistake, became a lesson to not make in same mistake and never regret, and all you have to do is keep try more harder to get what you want.
Cheers … ;)

Comment by Bhargavi Bharatchandra Thakker on March 17, 2011 at 2:07am Wow. Here's what I think:
1. Failing isn't the worst thing out there. It's failing to try that's worse.
2. As much as you try not to have any regrets, you are going to regret some things. The key is to learn from them and move on.
3. Don't take yourself too seriously. If you want to be happy you can be happy. It's a choice.
(:
Comment by Alf Lim on March 17, 2011 at 9:57am This is the first thing I've read on this page, and this will be my first post. "Lessons for Life" sounds like a very interesting project and I'm intrigued by the fact that I haven't asked myself this question before.
Here's what I wish I knew:
1. When you make choices, make the right choices for you and not your parents.
2. It's ok to not take part of the "cool" things/actions (typical children stuff i.e.: not throwing trash and spit around.)
3. That money and resources aren't things I should take for granted.
Well, Megan i think i'm still younger now ^_^ .....at least i'm always feel young :))
Not really quite enough to know more about this life coz journey is still on the ride. But till now i've got some kind of "Lessons for Life" from what i've seeing through my eyes and my heart.
1. Never humiliate or underestimate people simply by their look.Like phrase say: Never judge the book from the cover
2. Always remembering the moment of life when you down, coz you get a lessons from that. And when you're up, you can still be really a human by remembering the moment.
3. And finally, always thankful for everything that you've got even in a little thing. There's so much people in this world have still not yet get a chance to make they life much better.
There you go, i hope it can help your friends project and your inquisitive ^_^
1 - Ce qui ne te tue pas te rend plus fort.
2 - Aime ton prochain comme toi même.
3 - Souris à la vie, elle te sourira en retour!
Sorry, i don't know to say it in english!
Comment by Owais A Siddiqui on March 20, 2011 at 7:22am 1. Life is too short to be sad. Whenever you are in pain, don't cry or curse your fate. Just smile and move on, there are alot of happiness waiting for you.
2. Everyone spends life for his own wishes, luxuries success etc. But the true mean of life is to do something for others. Something, that lasts forever even after you die.
3. Always respect your parents and the people who teach you even a single word in your life.
Comment by Silvi Pacheco on March 21, 2011 at 12:56am 1. Ichi-go ichi-e: "one chance in a lifetime."
2. Big problems can be reduced to small, and small can be reduced to nothing.
3. Believe in the possibility of the impossible.
I like this topic :)
